ABOUT LEILA

Leila is WiB’s 2026 Engagements Director!

​

What she loves most about WiB is the community it provides for its members. Moving to Sydney in 2025 for university, she was able to find a supportive network and form deep friendships through WiB. In her 2026 role, she is excited to create intentional programs and events that encourage cross-year networking and help members develop meaningful connections with their peers.

​

Her career aspirations are to work in a senior HR or Marketing management position, and later in life, transition into teaching HSC Business Studies.

​

She is most inspired by Julie Andrews, who she sees as the perfect mix of confidence, kindness, and class. Julie’s incredible career, grounded nature, and ability to bounce back and reinvent herself even when faced with challenges serve as a powerful example for Leila.

Favourite WiB memory:

My favourite WiB memory is from the Careers in Advertising & PR panel, as it was my first networking event with WiB where I made many connections and had deep conversations about the industry.

Book, podcast or show recommendation:

​I’m currently loving The Rookie. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone, it’s a great show with both action and romance!
