Zara Hanif
Events Co-Director
Bachelor of Business & Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation
Profile:
Zara studies a Bachelor of Business (Finance) and Bachelor of Information Systems. Her current hobbies include debating, collecting books she convinces herself she will eventually read, cooking and watching obscure documentaries. She also loves all things impressionist art and prehistoric and ancient history!
Zara’s female role model is Marie Curie as she was an incredibly accomplished pioneer in the field of physics, and in a time and space where this was an extraordinarily difficult feat for a woman. Zara believes her talent, courage and perseverance continues to inspire women to break barriers and lead spaces that they are not traditionally welcome in.
Zara currently works as a debating adjudicator/coach and coding teacher. She is extremely passionate about debating and is also the Vice President of the UTS Debating Society.
Zara’s favourite thing about WiB is the range of opportunities available to get more involved in the society. From subcommittees and executive positions to mentoring programs, there are plenty of ways for members to become more connected with the society and to meet other like-minded women!
