Angela Dong

President of UTS WiB

Bachelor of Accounting (Co-op)

Studying a Bachelor of Accounting Co-Op, Angela is also a debating and public speaking coach for Year 7 girls. Her hobbies include swimming and reading at the beach, going on long bush walks with friends and travelling. Basically, you can find Angela doing anything active, outdoors and in the sun!

Angela’s female role model is Melanie Perkins, the CEO of Canva who is also a young Australian person of a POC background. Angela has personally followed her journey for years and has been inspired by her growth as a business woman and entrepreneur. Melanie is eloquent and presents publicly with a warm persona, with a powerful message on determination and dreaming big despite experiencing factors that could hold one back. In Sydney, Angela believes Melanie is the blueprint for young Australian women who want to achieve greatness.

Angela’s favourite thing about WiB is that it is a network of fantastic women to be welcomed into once joining the society. She says, “It is awesome to meet like minded women at UTS who want to pursue business, women from other universities with similar goals and friendly sponsors who are happy to share their professional experiences. It is a welcoming group and exciting to be surrounded by authentic and hard-working women!”

Her Career:

Angela has been an audit intern at Ernst and Young where she performed audit work on Health, Life and Government domain for private, ASX-listed and pro-bono clients.
